Peri Rumah adalah makhluk gaib fiksi dalam seri Harry Potter karya J. K. Rowling. Peri Rumah memiliki bentuk seperti manusia kecil –walaupun jelas terlihat berbeda dari manusia– yang menghabiskan hidup mereka untuk melayani sebuah keluarga, institusi, dan lain-lain. Kecuali mereka dibebaskan, keturunan mereka akan melanjutkan tugas-tugas mereka. Berbeda dengan seorang budak, Peri Rumah betul-betul bahagia dalam perbudakan mereka dan hampir seluruhnya beranggapan bahwa bila mereka sampai dibebaskan, itu adalah kenistaan besar. Ras ini tidak memiliki kebudayaan sendiri dan keberadaan mereka hanya untuk melayani. Karakteristik

Peri Rumah memiliki tubuh yang kecil (hanya sekitar 60-90cm tingginya), dengan tangan-kaki yang panjang lurus, serta kepala dan mata yang terlalu besar. Mereka biasa menyebut diri sendirinya dengan kata ganti orang ketiga dan berbicara seperti anak kecil. Nama-nama mereka biasanya mirip seperti nama binatang peliharaan (Dobby, Winky, Hokey); dan tampaknya tidak memiliki nama keluarga.

Keluarga-keluarga penyihir hitam tampaknya memiliki kebiasaan mengasari dan menganiaya Peri Rumah mereka. Keluarga Malfoy memaksa Peri Rumah mereka, Dobby, untuk menjepit telinganya sendiri di oven atau menyetrika tangannya jika ia tidak mematuhi perintah mereka. Kebanyakan Peri Rumah akan merasa sangat hancur jika diberikan pakaian, karena itu berarti bahwa mereka telah gagal untuk melayani pemilik mereka (Peri Rumah keluarga Crouch, Winky, menjadi depresi dan terjebak dengan minuman beralkohol pada akhirnya). House Elves Pixie Home is a fictional magical creature in the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling. Fairy house has a shape like a small man-though certainly looks different from the man-who spent their lives to serve a family, institutions, and others. Unless they were released, their descendants would continue their duties. Unlike a slave, house-elves really happy in their slavery and almost all think that if they got released, it is a big disgrace. This race does not have its own culture and their presence is only to serve. Having a house elf is a status symbol of a person or family, while the attitude of dedication in the cause in such a house-elves are considered as second class citizens in the wizarding world.
Characteristic
Fairy house has a small body (only about 60-90cm height), with hand-foot long straight, and head and eyes are too big. However, in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, a house-elves who had been released to find a good family, so that suggests that the fairy house is bound to a family, not to the house. Indeed, house-elves generations of a family is reported to serve, but this may be due to generation after generation of the family also lived in the same house. House Elves live in a sad situation. When Barty Crouch Jr. rescued from Azkaban by his father, Barty Crouch Sr., Crouch Jr. is controlled by the Imperius Curse and forced to hide under the Invisibility Cloak all the time, and treated until healthy again by Winky. Because of pity, Winky asked Crouch Sr. to let his son watch the Quidditch World Cup. Crouch Sr. finally agreed, not realizing that Crouch Jr. had begun against the curse. When the crowd attending the World Cup, Crouch Jr. Harry Potter wand steal and use it to launch the Dark Mark. The witches from the Ministry of Magic soon arrived and fired a magic drug to the origin of that sign. Winky and Crouch Jr. (still hidden beneath the Invisibility Cloak) fainted anesthetic was exposed to magic. Winky is found holding a wand that. Crouch Sr. in his anger gave him free clothes and Winky (the real reason is because Winky is considered incapable of controlling his son and noncompliance Winky seen there by the witches of the Ministry of Magic). This incident is considered abhorrent by Hermione Granger. Winky was later found by Dobby and get jobs together at Hogwarts. Winky feel so desperate with the release, which it sees as its failure to serve the Crouch family and began to fall in the drink. Winky continually refuse to consider Headmaster of Hogwarts as the owner and still consider Crouch as his master. When Crouch get the dementors kiss and his soul sucked out, Crouch lineage was up, and Winky lives life miserable.
Hokey (women) are house-elves who worked for Hepzibah Smith, who was convicted on charges of poisoning Smith. Hokey memory has been modified by Lord Voldemort, so he does not defend himself on this charge, instead saying that he may have been incorrectly entered into the drink master. Hokey later died of old age. Hokey described as house-elves smallest stature and the oldest ever seen by Harry, and because of small, as if a tray of dishes going it alone when Hokey bring it on its head.
House Elves at Hogwarts
Employ more than one hundred Hogwarts house-elves, including Dobby, Winky, and later, Kreacher (who works there on the orders of Harry Potter after the fairy house was bequeathed to him). Peri-Peri Houses at Hogwarts castle in charge of cleaning, cooking in the kitchen, taking care of hearth magic that lights in offices and recreational spaces Hogwarts.
